Just like Santa Claus, I've got to make my lists, check 'em twice, and get my ass in gear! Seriously! Decisions have got to be made about what to wear, what to pack, what to leave home, what food to buy, and how to get everything in packages/bags/tupperwares that'll be convenient for the race! (I wasn't kidding when I said I've got to get my ass in gear! There's a lot to do.)
Tops on my list, though, is getting back to Dr. Dan's office this afternoon. I haven't seen him in a while...and that's a good thing because it means I have been staying relatively pain-free. However, after debating back and forth during yesterday's run, I figured it's well worth the visit to just go, have him check my "problem areas" (IT band, back, etc.). It's the KimmieLynnRuns version of getting a tune-up on your car before a long road trip!
I've also been having a good time slightly carbing it up! I don't want to throw my body into a tizzy with going crazy compared to what I normally eat, but I'm seeing no reason why brown rice (and lots of it) can't be part of both lunch & dinner this week! Thanks, Judy, for the brown rice & quinoa pasta from Trader Joe's. That's been a tasty addition too! It's been a part of last night's dinner and today's lunch.
